Step 1 – Initial Inspection
We will inspect the vehicle and check the suitability for applying paint protection film.
Step 2 – Clean and decontamination.
This involves a full wash, chemical decontamination and clay bar. If there are any swirl marks, light scratches or orange peel on the paint surface, this can be addressed with buffing for an extra charge.
Step 3 – Testing the paint surface to ensure PPF adhesion
Once the vehicle paint surface has been completely cleaned and decontaminated, we will test the adhesion rating of the surface. If adhesion does not meet minimum requirements, the installation cannot be completed without additional measures.
Step 4. Bulk wrap installation
We typically bulk fit vehicles. This means we don’t use precut film so there are no visible edges, and we can wrap any style of vehicle. Following installation, 3M recommends we keep the vehicle in the workshop overnight to allow the adhesive to cure.
Step 5 – Final inspection and handover
When you come to collect your vehicle, we will show you the installation, and discuss the care and maintenance with you.
